Senior Director, Forensics & Investigations
Gary is Sandline’s Senior Director, Forensics & Investigations, bringing more than 14 years of experience supporting complex digital forensic and eDiscovery matters. He is highly skilled in forensic investigations and has testified as an expert witness over a dozen times, with deep experience in cases involving misappropriation of company resources, theft of intellectual property, and intentional destruction of data. Prior to joining Sandline, Gary held roles at Ernst & Young, Xact Data Discovery (d.b.a. QDiscovery / Forensicon), and TransPerfect. At Sandline, he leads the Forensics & Investigations practice, overseeing day-to-day operations, conducting forensic investigations, managing data collections, and providing expert witness and testimony services to law firms and corporate clients. He is known for his ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights and regularly partners with clients to understand their unique data needs while collaborating with Sandline’s Engineering team to design tailored solutions.
Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Forensics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and has earned multiple professional certifications, most notably the CCE (Certified Computer Examiner) and GCFE (GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner). His career highlights include serving as the computer forensic expert for the Steven Avery defense featured in Making a Murderer, founding a regional forensic laboratory for a global eDiscovery provider, and contributing to the build-out of forensic and eDiscovery infrastructure within a large social media company.
