Gary Hunt CCE joins New York Forensics Lab as Digital Forensic Manager

NEW YORK CITY, NY — May 17, 2022 — Sandline Global LLC announced today the hire of Gary Hunt as Digital Forensic Manager, where he will be responsible for leading data collections and forensic examinations, as well as helping manage client engagements. Additionally, he will oversee Sandline’s state-of-the-art digital forensic laboratory in New York City, 1350 Broadway.

Gary brings over a decade of digital forensics investigation experience to Sandline, with expertise in matters involving the misappropriation of company resources, intellectual property theft, and intentional destruction of data. In addition, he will serve as a testifying expert for Sandline’s clients.

Before joining Sandline, Gary was a senior-level consultant for EY. He helped large technology companies build out their forensic labs, was a Senior Digital Forensic Examiner for Xact Data Discovery and was a Digital Forensics Technology and Consulting Manager for TransPerfect Legal Solutions. He was also a computer forensic expert for Steven Avery’s defense (“Making a Murderer”).

Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Forensics from the Bloomberg University of Pennsylvania. He holds numerous licenses and certifications, including Certified Computer Examiner (CCE); SANS FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis; Autopsy Basics and Hands; and SANS FOR518: Mac and iOS Forensic Analysis and Incident Response. 

Gary enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing video games, and tinkering with his 3D printer.
